Three cyclists killed in Elkhart County

In the early morning of June 7, two teenagers were killed in a head-in collision with an automobile, and one cyclists was killed when struck from behind in a hit-and-run. Police think thy have located the hit-and-run vehicle. Details are in the Elkhart Truth:

    “ELKHART — The driver of a car that collided with two bicycles south of Elkhart early Thursday, killing both bicyclists, drove left of the center line, the sheriff’s department announced today, June 8.

    “We are able to confirm through the investigation that the driver of the vehicle traveled left of center prior to the crash,” though police don’t know why, wrote Capt. James Bradberry of the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department.

    The police investigation continues into the crash, which killed David Anglemyer, 18, and Daniel Runion, 19, of Goshen.”
